Furry Finger Tips...

The title says it all.

This week I tried out Fashions latest 'craze'?! Furry nails. Yes, my nails were furry for a day and one evening.

For those avid Daily Mail readers, like myself, you would have seen this week that it was reported Blake Lively had 'furry/velvet' nails on her wedding....! As I was reading the article I somehow convinced myself this was a fantastic idea, so I did a spot of background research/looked at photos and decided I needed to give it a shot. So off I ran to my nearest Superdrug on Tottenham Court Road looking for MUA's 'fur-effect nails'.

Well, I honestly didn't think I would find it but smack bang in the middle of the store were the little pots of fur!

I had completed the first hurdle and actually found the stuff, but the next was to pick the colour! I loved the deep blue, but eventually went for the hot pink 'Fluffy Fuzz' as I thought it would match more outfits. (Sounds a bit stupid considering furry nails don't really 'match' a lot).

They were actually quite simple to put on..
1) Paint the nail in a similar colour to the fur
2) Wait for it to dry...
3) Paint a clear coat over the top then dip your finger into the pot of fur.
4) Spread the fur around the nail and smooth it out evenly.
5) Wait for it to dry.

It's really that simple to make your nails furry.
Just be careful afterwards, you leave a little trail of fur behind you until the stuff has set properly.

Here were the end result on mine...

The only bad thing about them is
1) Some people just don't like them, so no one really took me seriously.
2) They are horrible when wet (Imagine a wet dog)
3) Takes forever to get off.

But if you are looking for something slightly different then I say give it a go, they are fun to do, I loved the feel of them and I all the colours are amazing.
(But I wouldn't recommend it for your wedding...)
